Current Ladders: NATO Desert Combat Conquest:  ranked 13th
Next match: Retired

June 20.2005 - It's the end of the world as we know it!

That's it for Battlefield 1942/Desert Combat. It was a good run. Not counting tonight, we played on 4 ladders: OGL, Proving Grounds, The Combat Zone and NATO, and fought in 68 engagements over 2 years and 6 months. That's a hell of a long while really, especially in gaming time. We've been having problems getting enough people out lately, and quite a number of our players have left for other games (Damn you World of Warcraft! Damn you!) but from the sounds of it quite a number of them will be back for BF2.

A new !FT! division will be started tomorrow to coincide with the release of Battlefield 2. Watch for it.

Thanks to all the guys who came out and played with us over the years, it's been an awesome run! Some ups, some downs, but mostly just a hell of a lot of fun.

June 19.2005 - vs. Children of the Forgotten Heros (CFH)

Hate forfeiting. Unfortunately when CFH asked if we could play tonight instead of on Wednesday (BF2 coming out on Tuesday) I totally forgot it was father's day, so we couldn't get enough people in untill it was too late. Thanks to CFH for waiting 30 minutes for us, appreciate your patience. Ahh well. That's about the first forfeit we've ever had. (Other than that one time Marauder forgot to accept a challenge on PG and went away for the weekend. Stupid Marauder.)

June 8.2005 - vs. Mountain Stalkers (MS)

Sadly we couldn't get 8 players in untill later in the match, and we got our butts kicked by artillery, and by the annoying blackhawk on LV ;) Gah. Thanks for the matches MS, nice work on the arty.

May 15.2005 - vs. Rebel Resistance (RR) defending #16.

Thanks for the games RR, nice team work. :) Specially with the sniping, Micro you rotten SOB. ;) We were making a comeback at the end of the last two maps, but ran out of time. *sigh* Guess we need to adjust our tactics.

It was great to see so many people come out tonight. We actually had 10 on 10 for the last few rounds. :)

May 4.2005 - vs. Band of Brothers (BoB) defending #15.

Ahhh well, another loss. GGs BoB, very nicely played. Thanks very much for playing down one player when we could only get seven. You're a great bunch of guys and true sportsmen. :)

Nice work to Duke on the second wake map, he was holding a flag by himself. 7 on 1. 1 second to respawn timer and it got challenged. *do'uh!*

Apr 30.2005 - Congrat to Dukester

Dukester has graciously accepted a promotion to co-captain of the Battlefield division. Some other roster changes: Kingpin, Sgt York and Cable are moved to the retired list as they no longer play with us. (Damn you World of Warcraft! Damn you!)

Apr 25.2005 - Welcome Dayseven

And welcome to the Battlefield Division Dayseven, Daysix's brother. Soon we will have corupted the entire Ghost Recon team, and turn them to the wild speed and excitement of Battlefield.

April 24.2005 - vs. Slackers United(SU) attacking #9.

*sigh* That went badly. Nice to have Daysix onboard! Welcome to the team. Kydd Thunder showed up to play, but unfortunately was unable to keep his game up and running. Thanks anyhows man, we appreciate it. :) We were actually doing really well on Searigs, right up untill we lost that last pesky flag. I hate maps where one team has an uncapturable spawn and the other does not.

Coalition: 0-99

Desert Shield: (0-1)
Opposition: 0-79

April 11.2005 - vs. Festival of Frags (FoF) attacking #6.

ARGH! Doncha hate it when you just can't quite get those last few points? Great games FoF, our hands were shaking on a few of the maps. I just HATE when it's right down to the wire like that and it's soooo close.

Final results:
Stallingrad: (1-1)
Opposition: 75-0
Coalition: 0-84

Desert Shield: (0-2)

Nice to see so many of our troops out for last night's practise. :) Very nice indeed!

April 3.2005 - vs. Cell Block 4 (CB4) attacking #1.

Close games tonight vs CB4, we ended up having to play down one man, as Magic's cable was down and Killer couldn't make it either. I think if we had one more guy we would have done much better

Nice to have Zink back and playing with us.

Mar 31.2005 - Recruiting

Team Forever Twisted is now recruiting. We're looking for mature dedicated players who are out for some serious gaming, but mostly for the fun of it. We're friends as well as clan members, and in all honesty: Attitude is more imporant than skill. Interested? Email themarauder@fragtopia.com

Mar 30.2005 - vs. 342nd Flying Tigers (342FT) defending #7.

Argh! Owned by the Tigers. Amazing team work 342s, very nice co-ordination. Drops us from #7 to #11.

Welcome back to Reverend! He finally got a decent connection in China.

Mar 18.2005 - vs. Band of Brothers (BoB|) challenging for #13

Holy crap close matches. Thanks for taking the time to set the server up for the match BoB. After a late start, we managed to beat Band of Brothers, but man was it close. That's a match that easily could have gone either way. On the second map of Wake Semper Fi for BoB did an amazing job of bascially holding two flags all by himself, with wave after wave of !FT! dropping on his head. Nice work man. Magic had disconnect issues, but soldiered on.

Nice job all !FT!, well played, especially for our first match in almost 2 months.

Final results:
Bocage Day 3 (1-1)
Opposition: 59-0
Coalition: 0-48

Wake Island (2-0)
Opposition: 83-72
Coalition: 73-49

Attending troopers: Blutsauger, Dukester, FRAGle, Instigator, Magic, Marauder, Rune and VA_Killer.

Mar 14.2005 - Found it!

Woohoo! I found the "spotlight on !FT!" files from Proving Grounds. I'm so pleased, I thought they'd been lost forever when PG went under. Click here to view. I'll also get them up in the Team History page, where they rightfully belong. :)

Mar 9.2005 - Ladder change (again!)

Well, since it seems that the Combat Zone ladder is dead, we've switched over to NATO. Looks like a few of the teams we've played before are on here as well, so this should be fun. Our first match will be vs. Band of Brothers.

New header at the top of the site. Wanted to add a little more room so you can see the filler image more clearly. That's been bothering me for ages and I finally fixed it. ;)

Jan 30.2005 - vs. Gods of War (GOW|) challenging for #4

Nice matches GOW! For us, a bad night. It was a bit of comedy of misfortunes actually. We had some very bad luck at the start of the first side of Bocage, where our teamspeak server got unplugged by our ISP, approximately 10 seconds into the match, so we got slaughtered. On the second side, it tooks us a few minutes to get everyone connected to the alternative server, so GOW started the match while 2 of our guys weren't in game. Luckily they managed to get connected and back in, so we only played short for a very brief period of time. Blutsauger's internet connection dropped out on him in El Alamein and he wasn't able to reconnect. *sigh* Why do these things always happen on match night? :)

Final results:
Bocage Day 2 (122-125)
Coalition: 122-0
Opposition: 0-125

El Alamein (3-169)
Opposition: 3-60
Coalition: 0-109

Attending troopers: Blutsauger, Boris, Dukester, FRAGle, Instigator, Magic, Marauder, Rune.

Jan 30.2005 - Promotions and other changes

Promotions and other things!

A few things to tell everyone about. First off, we have a few people being moved to the inactive list due to having moved on/and or being MIA for so long: Cobra, Roadkill, Panzerbox, and Tracer. Captains Messiah and Prozac have been moved to the inactive list as well. They will all be missed.

Field promotions!!

Dukester has been promoted to Lieutenant
Sgt. York and Spazl have been promoted to Corporal

Congrats boys, and thanks for all the hard work and dedication.

Jan 23.2005 - vs. Who Dares Wins (|WDW|) TCZ Match #1

Our first match on The Combat Zone puts us from #8 to #5 in one fell swoop! Very proud of the performance of everyone tonight. FRAGle, our newest member played very well in his first match the team, and it was great to have Spazl and Sgt. York back as well. Very well fought guys! Thanks very much as well to WDW, a great bunch of guys to play with, we look forward to meeting you in combat again soon. It's nice to see so much sportsmanship in online gaming. Appreciate your help with figuring out how the ladder works as well Swampy. :) We're not used to the "play both sides of the map" thing yet, but we're getting used to it.

Final results:
El Alamein (232-9)
Opposition: 114-9
Coalition: 118-0

Basrah's Edge (0-115)
Opposition: 0-82
Coalition: 0-33

Opposition: 92-0
Coalition: 120-0

Attending troopers: Boris, Dukester, FRAGle, Instigator, Magic, Marauder, Rune, Sgt. York, Spazl, and VA Killer. Blutsauger attended but couldn't maintain a connection long enough to play. Damn you Rogers@home.
